Hello -

This is my first post on the Forum.  Actually, it is my first for several things.  My first smoker, for instance.  I received a MasterBuilt two door propane smoker for Christmas but unlike another who recently posted, I am not moving very quickly.  I only took it out of the box yesterday.  Like others, I found it easy to assemble and am now ready for the next step.  I have done some exploring on this site and really appreciate the recommendations about the chip and water pans.  I will be heating it up per the instructions this week to get it cured and hope to smoke my first meat on the weekend.  Type and quantity to be determined.

Looking forward to learning how to get the most out of my smoker both on my own and through the Forum.  Thanks in advance for the help I expect to need and hope to receive.

fclover~Welcome to SMF, glad that you have already found some useful information.  Don't sweat about not already having that smoker up and running and doing your third or fourth rack of ribs.  Some thing you just need to ease into, some of us old-timers here understand about pacing ourselves.
