My name is Curt and I’ve been cooking over fire for family and friends for years. I run a Horizon offset. I have a Carson Rodizio for Brazilian-style rotisserie that’s fun to use in my backyard patio firepit. I have a few dutch ovens, a big skillet and Brazilian discada that come out when we're camping with a big group. Also for camping I have a filing cabinet smoker. Super lightweight and portable; just flop it in the bed of the truck. Definitely a conversation starter. I recently picked up an Assassin17 gravity fed that I'm excited to learn more and use.

I do brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, sausage — pretty much everything at some point. No real specialty, just try to do it well.

Looking forward to lurking with purpose now. The Assassin17 is a real machine (maiden cook finished up yesterday), and I look forward to learning from this group, and sharing my experiences too.

Welcome from a Minnesotan (summers only).
I've never seen a file cabinet smoker, clever.
I have seen some repurposed SS equipment cabinets turned into smokers.

Welcome from Colorado

Welcome from Virginia, Iowa corn and taco pizza raised though. Nice collection of toys!
