Greetings all, thanks for having me.

I'm planning my first real smoker and came here via Google. 

I've done some smoking before in one of those little smokers that look like the robot R2D2.   My neighbor has a home made side-fire-box smoker that I've had the fortune to use over the past five years.  But now it's time for me to build my own.

I've spent the past few years restoring old woodworking machines, and doing some woodworking in between.  I think it's time to tackle a new project and will be headed off to the metal supplier before too long.

I've already posted a question in the Side Fire Box forum, and a couple of the guys have sent me links that should keep me reading for a while.  Exactly what I was looking for.
