Im in the precess of recuperating from a surgery i got a few days ago, i went in to get a vein removed from my left leg. It was basically doing nothing anymore, just causing my leg to swell up bad. Things seem to have gone according to plan. Just wondering if anyone else here has gone through a vein removal surgery, and how did go?

Did they do actual surgery, or thermal ablation?

Due to how bad my vein was the surgeon opted to just remove it. My regular doctor kind of dropped the ball a bit. I had phlebitis for a while and i didn't really know what it was, went to the doctor, it was treated as psoriasis, by this time the vein was basically a write off. When i finally saw a vascular surgeon, he said the vein had to go proto. Ultrasounds showed it was almost double its normal size and pretty much had only a pin hole going through. it felt like a garden hose under my skin. Its only been 4 days and my foot and ankle are pretty much normal size again.

Not knowing many medical terms, I clicked in for some butchering tips. Glad you’re doing well, and in time for Christmas.

Fortunately no.
My mother was plagued with blood clots and always has me wondering when it's my turn.
Had a scare a few years ago that was only a Baker's Cyst, which is no picnic either.
