Great news from my cardiologist.

Congrats! So what was it? I mean, you had symptoms right? Did you have angina? If so, what was the cause? Thanks
I came down with pneumonia. They did an ultrasound on my heart and the doctor misdiagnosed me.

Oh okay. Take care of yourself! Pneumonia is scary stuff. I had a guy working for me a few years - younger than me - he is no longer with us.

Cardiologist told me I needed open heart surgery right away and to go straight to the hospital. I told him I wanted a second opinion so he turns to me and says:
Well, you're ugly too.

Seriously tho... I did get a second opinion and I got a call from the doctor told me to get my azz into her office right away - she sat me down ( after a bunch of tests ) and said I had a 25% chance of a fatal heart attack in the next year. Told me I had 2 choices, open heart surgery or change my diet - so I chose door number 2.

Went vegan for the last 8 months and honestly it isn't that bad. I do have visitation rights with some meats ( chicken / salmon ) now and again but the hard stuff I had to let go of.

I feel better for it too.

Doctor: "I want you to give up cigarettes, whiskey and wild women".
Me: "God---- doc, what am I hanging on for"?

That is great news! I can't imagine how you reacted when the doctor told you this.

Good news.

Me, I do not fear death. Can't get here fast enough for my liking.

Warm sweet death wash over me.

OK that was just some humor. Glad you are doing well.
