grand cafe smoker

Got a good deal on a stainless steel grand cafe smoker.  This thing is huge and very well insulated.  The only problem is its propane.  I am planning on ripping out the propane burner and building a charcoal basket.  Guess my question is the dimensions of the basket.  How tall should I make the walls.  If anyone has any knowledge of this smoker please let me know if you modded yours.

Hello.  I have no knowledge of that smoker but why rip out the burner?  Add a smoke generator ( AMNPS ) and your away!  Just a thought.  Good luck.
