I have been wanting to buy a good slicer, something more substantial than the consumer grade stuff. I've been scouring Craigslist and eBay for months. What I've found is that these things don't seem to lose their value and you are always a day late to buy a used one! So I had a nice windfall of money when I hit the last quarter on my Superbowl pool (woo hoo!) and my wife and I decided to bite the bullet and buy one!

Of course the standard is Hobart or Berkel but they are just too expensive, so I bought a 10" MTN Kitchenware unit from eBay for $285.00 all in with shipping!

What a nice piece of machinery! I sliced up some pastrami with it and was a breeze! The machine is super quiet and the blade is very sharp. Disassembly for cleaning is very easy.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my positive experience with this model of machine!
