My fiance got me my 1st Smoker for my birthday last weekend a Masterbuilt 30inch Electric Smoker.

The very first thing I tried in it was a 4lb brisket.  I used the recipe from here that I believe I found from this forum.

This is starting the sear from step #5 of that recipe

Cooking away....

Resting...

Cutting ...

Eating!!!

I'm sure I will get better at it once I spend some time on the forum and really learn what is going on (like what is the thin blue smoke everyone talks about) but for a 1st try we both really enjoyed it.

Today I am attempting to make a 9lb Pulled Pork.

Looks good and

Welcome aboard orangethermal. Glad you found us. Always nice to see another Floridian representin'. You're gonna love it here. Lots of great infomation and advice. Not to mention the folks are

very friendly and always willing to share. Thanks for the pics. Thin Blue Smoke (TBS) is the level of smoke you're looking to attain from your unit as opposed to rolling white smoke. The search bar at the top of the pages will find you just about anything you can think of....and more. But we're always willing to answer questions and lend a hand. Again,
