Doing some ribeyes on the BGE later today. Picked up some fresh shrimp to grill with them. Anyone have an easy marinade recipe or seasoning favs? Don’t grill shrimp much but we love to eat em.

Great thing about shrimp is they really take on any flavor marinade. Just be careful of anything acidic for to long as it will chemically “cook” the shrimp. Otherwise it comes down to flavor choice.

We like marinade in many forms:

Beer and garlic
White wine and garlic
Tequila lime and salt
Teriyaki
Lemon
Lime
Have used 7up and lime also.

Just to name a few but really the flavor combinations is sky high.

We grill a lot of shrimp and Eric has you covered on marinades. I usually don't marinade, but apply a sauce after the shrimp are done. I just brush with melted butter. I like a citrus sauce such as lime and soy or just squeeze on fresh lemon juice. Only point of emphasis from me is do not overcook the shrimp...

Believe it or not but zesty Italian dressing is darn good to (works wonders on chicken to) just be mindful of the vinegar content (acid)
Man that’s sounds good! I do chicken and chops in that at times. Didn’t think of it!

Try a simple marinade of olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate the shrimp 15–30 minutes, then grill 2–3 minutes per side until opaque. You can also use Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, or a garlic-soy-honey glaze for variety.
