Hi my name is Fred from northern Indiana. I have always been a barbeque fan but never tried to make it before. I have always wanted a smoker and my wife bought me a barrel smoker with side firebox. I am going to try my first attempt at smoking Saturday. I am going for pulled pork. If it goes well I may be smoking the turkey at thanksgiving.

Hello Fred and welcome to SMF! Glad you joined us! Pork butt (pulled pork) is pretty forgiving. Just remember patience.
