Looking @ Both the Ledge or Peak 2.0 models ?
A few Questions?
1 Can anyone tell me the actual grate size of each ?
2 Wondering about the pellet consumption of getting the Peak Vs Ledge.
3 Any advice on either would be very appreciative.
Currently have a Napoleon 485 LEX. Natural gas. Its about the right size. Can do Whole Turkeys ,Holiday Hams, Pork butts.
Looking @ maybe getting a pellet grill, to enhance the flavor and have more control over the temps?
Also considering the Rec Teq 800? But I think the GMG offers more features?
Last thought: Live near the Ocean (Salt air). Concerned about leaving the pellet grill out covered on the deck ?
Thanks ! ELF

Ocean salt finds a way to get to just about everything. Maybe a good 304 stainless construction version?

Stainless ? YUP!
My Napoleon gaser is SS. Cast Iron grates I previously had ,even with oiling them, They still rust.
I am also concerned about the pellets clumping up? due to the high humid weather ?

The sq. in. of your Napoleon is approx 485, the Ledge at 530 or the Peak at 738

When you are done smoking I would remove all the pellets in the hopper and run the unit until it exhausts any pellets in the auger area. This scenario obviously works better if a smoker has a dump feature. Can't tell if these have that feature or not.

My ledge has a dump feature for the hopper.
