Being a stick burner I have been searching for the perfect gloves to use when playing with fire.

I started with Mechanix gloves and wow those did not last long. Then went to the Mechanix Carbon X High heat and tore holes in the thumbs and got a nice blister on my thumb moving a burning split.

I finally decided to go fireman on this problem and bought these gloves. I have used them multiple times and they seem to transfer almost no heat. I can move burning splits and have enough dexterity with them to pick up small bits of kindling. I cannot tell you enough how much these gloves are worth the 50 bucks. Now please keep in mind I am not suggesting anyone go all superhero and start grabbing splits on fire and holding them but to move them around I think these are safe. If you are a stick burner and hate messing around with a set of tongs try these out. They are perfect!

so I will let you all figure out the best place to get them. All I can say is I love them! I will post some pics of me with a burning split in my hand this weekend to show these bad boys off.

Doug, I too when thru the trail and error period while searching for gloves to use with my stick burner.  My son that's the welder gave me a pair of tall gauntlet welding gloves that feel like a glove with-in a glove.  I've lost the left hand glove so I've been hinting like crazy for a new pair.  I may have to check out the firestore.
