We was doing walks, Dont do much as my daughter is really busy late working on base.
Maybe in spring again.

At RK yesterday getting some wood shavings, guy in isle said hey you should try the coffee bedding, I only change 2x week now compared to every other day with the wood. Won't hurt the baby chix.

Hmmmmm

Awesome Rick… we love our girls too…. Get bout 3-4 eggs a day!

Looking to add to the flock this spring!

At the grocery store earlier today… $19.99 for a sixty pack! $2.99 for a dozen!

But, there is a huge difference taste wise when you have your own vs store bought! Game changer!

We have some Rhode Island Reds and some Wyandottes!

Have to have the breeds that can take the cold weather, even though we do pamper them! They have a pretty comfy home… would not have it any other way!

Im going to have to make a wire top, couple want to get on the feeder and jump out.

Fun Fun maybe just a 2x2 wood frame with coop wire on it

Cool think it will be high enough to keep them in when they get up on the feeder or waterer then try to get out from there

Got the new chick pen up. I could have made it but it would have cost more than the $40 I spent on this. Coffee grinds on bottom then shavings.

They have more room for the next couple months.

Hey Jerry

My wife read today she read that a couple of feed companies have tainted their chicken feed so the hens dont lay eggs?

I'm trying to find the article.

I've heard that haven't confirmed it. We feed Purina not really worried about them

Hmm, coffee bedding, those hens will be up all night!

What are Starlight green eggers? Araucana's lay green-ish eggs, something like that?
Yes lite green eggs

Grinds just for bedding, so far they dont eat it.
