Getting Back on the Smoker! Finally

its been a few weeks (vaca, work, other obligations etc.) and I am jones'in bad.

So today Baby Backs! Love them. doing a rub comparison on these.

Tomorrow I have 15LB packer that I need to prep today.

Here's the ribs, packer picks later.

I could help you with your comparison, in ithe interest of science, of course. It's only about a 3 hour drive from from here. They are looking like they are ready to spend a few hours relaxing in the smoky spa.

Hi Neighbor! they are about three hours into the smoke spa. looking good so far - doing them no wrap just smoke till done. three bean salad as a side.

Here is an update... ribs smokin it out at hour 4 and a full packer before i trimmed a ton of fat off...

Ribs were great! the honey rib rub wont the comp by a very slim margin. Second place went yo Casinovas competition rub which was a hair more salty than sweet. here is a final on that one. winner is on the left. these were three full racks that I cut in half - much easier to manage.

Brisket went on about 0620. used an espresso beef rub on it. and here is its pre shot.

and here is finished brisket - it was a good one. sorry no sliced pics. Had homemade fries with it - first fries in the deep fryer - super good.
