I am so happy I can finally stop researching MES models and such. My head is still spinning. Right now, totally confused since I thought the AMNPS fit the Gen1.

Some hang it using brackets like griz400 did and some use the mailbox mod also.. Not sure where it fits.

My two cents would be to do a mailbox mod. I just did one earlier this month and love it. The only thing left to do is to build a cart to mount the whole unit on like I have seen some on here do. The nice part about it is that you can manage your smoke without opening the door to your smoker and losing your heat. Or as RingR said build a hanger ....either will work. Have fun!! fatty 1.JPG

If it doesn't fit where it fits in a normal Gen #1, You can put the bottom rack in & put the AMNPS on the far right of that bottom rack. That is also the best place for it in the Gen #2, and Gen #2.5, and where I put mine in my Gen #2.5.
It works best there, because the Chip dumper hole is right under it & it can get good air flow from that dumper hole.

Where do you click on that pic?
I've been to HD & Masterbuilt. I think you photoshopped that, because I can't click on it to see where I can buy it.

That is a screen shot I took today looking online . I'm seeing that advertising also with another smoker pic also.. Lol misprint maybe. But that is how it was before I sent it.

I found it..
When you click the advertising to go to the sight, the smoker model changes to another smoker.
That pic is also representing a $50.00 bullet smoker. Lol

No link, huh?
That's what I thought.
No such thing as a Gen #1 Bluetooth.

It tricked me.. But not you .. haha. Oh well.

It was just a representation of a masterbuilt smoker and not the Bluetooth..

Hey bear, What do people use for oil on the slicer machines? Do they sell slicer gear oil? Or is it just food grade appliance oil?
Should add it's plastic gears.. Lol
I think plastic needs like a mineral based lubrication so it doesn't break down plastics.

I'm seeing allot of threads on the MES lately, and I was just wondering. Are the gen 1 and 2 discontinued models that they're trying sell out existing stock? Or are they still being made? I'm thinking about buying one to make winter smoking a little easier. Do the boxes say if it's gen 1, 2, or 2.5?

Hi Chris,
I don't think they've stopped making any of them. I told them when they came out with the Gen #2.5, they should get rid of the Gen #2, because it's giving the whole company a bad name, but they didn't stop them.
Lately they've been making Hybrids, by mixing parts, but not always using the best parts & ideas.
That Gen #2.5 is the best of the lot.

No they don't go by the Gen numbers on the boxes.

Here's a link to what I have found, and another one that shows how to tell them apart:
