Good afternoon all,
I have a Smoke Vault 24 with a natural gas line connected. I normally have a nice firm hiss of gas before a large wooshing flame upon startup. I noticed today my flame was less than steller on high. I had very little gas coming into the smoker judging by the shear hiss of the gas alone. It is normally much louder and audible.

Is my gas line clogged? How do I flush the natural gas hose? Thanks.

by no means am I a gas line expert - but i think if it was clogged it would be at the smoker valve end. can you disconnect the gas and try knocking out the valve?

It is either a spider web clogging the venturi tube ( as oldsmokerdude oldsmokerdude suggested) or the orifice that is clogged. Check both out.

I see this all the time when servicing natural gas grills. If either of the above are not clogged then check out the control valve as sandyut sandyut suggested.

Sounds good. Lesson learned. Don't wait a year to bbq or smoke something

Yup the gang seems to be on to your problem I've that many times. Keep the lines pluged when not in use will help deter this problem.

Spiders are known to set up home inside your burner venturi tubes. A quick clean out with a bottle brush might be all it takes.

Bingo winner winner

May take a little more than a brush but that would be the first thing I tried

I think you have the right advice above . Any other gas appliances in the house ? All working ok ? I only bring it up because I had a gas line failure in the area one time that lowered the pressure .

Yup---I'd go with the cleaning out the Spiders & their building of webs.
Pipe cleaner?? Bottle Brush??
Just don't try to burn it out.
