Very interested in learning more! We love garlic, horseradish, ribeyes… and being an ID boy born and raised… potatoes run in our blood.

Here I thought you made garlic horseradish mashers, which sound pretty good.

Enjoy the harvest.

grinding fresh horse radish
Worked with guys from Collinsville Illinios , Horseradish capital of the world .
I used to get them to bring me fresh ground , but you can get it in the stores too .
'Bout a 15 second loss of eyesight with each bite .

I know! Unfortunately. I get a reaction if it's too strong. So, I need to be careful.
Fresh ground and too concentrated will put me in a Rocky Balboa phase. Or, Mick Jagger.

First time with horseradish? Awesome stuff but invasive. Parents have a large patch. Used to dig up some for Easter ham. Oh man first time in laws ever had fresh the tears were flowing LOL
Tried once before, never rooted. Hopefully i can contain it easier in a bucket.

When I bought my first house I decided to start a garden and figured a few horseradish plants would be cool then found out how it spreads and difficult to kill then I expanded garden around it. Now that we are on the farm I keep trying to think of a place to start a new batch along with asparagus, mom always said she never could get asparagus to take out there but I'm pretty sure if I get my spot figured out carefully I should stand a chance

Asparagus grows wild along ditch banks up in the valley.
I'll collect some seeds this fall and send them to you.

We got wild around us as well, just have to beat others to them usually. If someone knows a spot it is kept even more quiet than the good fishing spot or even tighter than morrel mushrooms. I just need to decide where on my place to get some started, I got ideas but need to keep the cattle away from it

Township road side is public access. I have exclusive domain on the field side.
I just thought the seeds would be more viable being they come from the clay silt alkaline soils

Interesting. Im in really sandy soil and after reading on preferred ph and ideal soil types it has me thinking of "ideal" areas. Rain is not always reliable up here either

Planted 10 buckets of potatoes, 3 of horseradish, 1 of garlic and 5 small containers of garlic. 5 buckets have potato poking through, horseradish and garlic taking off!

Way ahead of me. I got 32 seed taters (3 varieties) chitting before planting.
I haven't gotten the garden tilled yet. Hopefully in the next couple of days and then get the spuds, onions, and carrots planted. The plant starts will go in sometime next week.

Sounds great! All 10 buckets of potatoes taking off!
