Galvanized mailbox

So I thought I would do the mailbox mod know my mes 30 but all i can find is Galvanized mailboxes. I've bought aluminum elbows and ducting so far. Just wondering if anybody is using galvanized in their mailbox mods and what the health risk might be.

I think, Sir, that the consensus has been that

you won't get it hot enough to harm anything.

If you put an AMNPS in there you'll never get anywhere

near enough heat on it to ever cause any trouble.

Galvanized is fine for the mailbox. You just must not use it where it will come in direct contact with the food or where juices can drip or splash from it onto the food.

Thanks for the replies ed and wade. I started cureing some bacon this morning and plan to cold smoke it.
