Ah. If the pellets reignited during the smoke. Then that answers the question about the creosote.

Let it burn for 45 with a torch. Didn't stay lit.

And you let it sit and burn a flame for 5-10 minutes before blowing it out, right?

If you are at a higher altitude then the maze may not work as well as the tube. The tube was made for pellets and higher elevations, but some folks have success using dust. If I remember correctly when they use dust they fill the tube up about halfway. Then sort of spread the dust out in the tube.

When I use pellets with my maze I use map gas. When lighting dust I'll use one of these.
