Yup---It should work OK.
However I can't use the Smart Probe because you can't insert it into a frozen steak.

Depending on the time of the cook, insert the probe when it is thawed but not done. I did a frozen steak to test out my mailbox mod and in about 30 minutes I put the probe in. Worked well.

A Ninja won't set up in "Smart-probe" without the probe plugged into the base. You had to have used one to understand that.
I'm not worried about it. There are plenty of ways to cook a frozen steak. My Ninja doesn't have to be one of them.
