Hello everyone!

I'm Marcel, live in the most southern region of the Netherlands in a small village called Roosteren which loosley translates as Barbeque........ True story!!

I'm very proud of this fact and try to uphold this given name by grilling barbequeing and smoking the hell out of meat!

must say that it tastes good most of the time too.!

the hardware:

nothing special.... yet!!! currently in use one ofset smoker by Charbroil converted to a reverse flow smoker.

and a gas grill also by Charbroil.

at this moment I'm making plans to create a smoker myself 2 times 21sqft smoker because the Charbroil is just too darn small.....

Any tips or lessons learned on this matter are more than welcome..... I try to do this right in 1 attempt!

favorit dishes.....

pulled pork, spare ribs, ribeye roast, t-bone and many more.....

also always looking for good recipe's!

I hope this gives you a good Idea of what I'm up to.....

See ya'll later now!

Marcel

Welcome Marcel. Your written English looks pretty good. Are you born and raised in the Netherlands? Is English your first language? Either way it's great to know you and have you here on the forum, especially being from a city with such a cool name! :) Like Kat says let us know if you need anything!

What a nice compliment Humdinger!  I am indeed born and raised in the Netherlands and Dutch is my first language, but English is a close second! Since May of last year I work for the US army in the Netherlands supporting the American families overseas.....maybe my English is as "good" as it is now because of that..... anyhow I'm glad to be on this forum and I hope and wish to learn a lot about building smokers, get a few good recipes and enjoy the reading and interacting with you lot!

Cheers!

Marcel

No problem, and thanks for supporting our military families overseas! I took about 3 years of German and can't come close to being as fluent as your English. But then again I don't use it much. Take care and talk to you soon.
