I'm pretty sure I know what 98% of everyone will say but I just need to ask.  I bought a nice 5lb chuck last night for today.  This morning I came down stairs to find my fridge door cracked open.  The chuck was on the edge of the top shelf so it was closest to the door.  I took the internal temp and it was 45°.  It was probably cracked open for 9 hours.  Seeing as it was over the 40° safe zone, would you guys risk it and cook it or chuck it (pun intended) and get a new one?  I hate to waste $30 but seeing as I am feeding a few friends and my wife, I'd rather be safe than get them all sick.

It is probably safe but like you said why risk it. The

Happy smoken.
