I've used my 12" CI to make pies already. I heat the pan with the pie in it on the stove top works great. Yours looks goodGreat look'in pie.
The best thing I ever did for cooking pizza in the oven was to buy the Lodge pizza pan.

I put launch the pie onto a pizza stone or steel on the top rack and let it cook for a minute or two. Then I'll move it to the lodge pizza pan that is on the next level down. The hot C.I. crisps the bottom while the heat from the stone or steel above finishes off the top of the pie it works great!!!
Just bought 10 lbs of thighs . At least 5 lbs will be this sausage . It's a favorite around here .This works great with Chicken
