Ft Lauderdale.
last week a post resurfaced for pork "finishing" sauce. Since I didn't smoke this weekend mama pulled a vac bag of pulled pork. looked and saw my Carolina sauce was low so I threw together a fresh batch,
This is basic vinegar based Carolina sauce.
Basics:
ACV, brown sugar, touch of ketchup, spoons of Red pepper flakes. boil lightyl. cool, put in squirt bottles
Note to self: always check post dates on stuff that pops on home page. I've been replying to posts from 2023

Yeah that Carolina red sauce is delicious. I’ve been working on a Rodney Scott type sauce that includes lemons. It’s good stuff that red sauce.

I love Carolina sauce, and always have a Patron bottle of pepper vinegar on the table. Which is just vinegar with a little bit of salt and your favorite sliced peppers in it.
My buddy from NC got me hooked on both of the above.

By the way, I'm guilty of replying to old posts as well. I think it's by design, to keep the forums more active, which is a good thing .

Nice looking sauce John. I'll have to give it a whirl. Toning it down for the wife.

Point for sure
Chris
