Picked up a 10lb prime brisket from Costco today. I'm thinking of going back and picking up more while its still on sale at $2.99/lb and freezing them in the original vacuum package. Would freezing cause any off flavors or degrade the quality in any way?

I would say No. No ill affects.
It is vacuum bagged in tough plastic.

Thawing it might take a week of two though... :confused:o_O

No. I bought a case of prime briskets last year and frozen them in the original cryovac and everyone was great when I thawed and smoked them. At $2.99 buy as many as you can.

I was shocked that the choice brisket cost more at $5.99/lb than the prime at $2.99.
