Freezing Bacon

Just wondering how bacon freezes after it has been smoked if vacuum sealed. How long can it be frozen for? Thanks Kyle

Bacon once it has been sliced and vac packed freezes well. Like any meat the freezer life depends on the rating of the freezer itself. In the UK we have star ratings for freezers, however most people store frozen foods at home for longer than is recommended. In most freezers the bacon should be good for 3-6 months providing the packaging is totally air tight.

I smoke, vac-pack and freeze for as long as it takes to eat 30#'s... Never a problem....

Same here, works for me, haven't lost any yet. And taste is still great. CF

I have had some last longer than a year with no problem. Never had any go bad. I do vacuum seal it.
