Dukes and Hellmans are the only mayo's I lick the spoon or knife of before washing!

Prior to going hard core Keto, I used Duke's Mayo a lot. It is really good. Now I use mayo made with either olive oil, avocado oil, or my favorite- bacon fat!
Curious what you mean about hard core keto and Dukes. There are no carbs in Dukes/no sugar. Is it the soybean oil? Just trying to wrap my head around the keto angle. I did keto/low-carb/Atkins for 4-5 years. Oils were not really part of the conversation as far as carbs and getting in to actual ketosis (where the term "keto" actually comes from). I DO know people steering away from soybean oil and seed oils these days because the current "system" is now saying they are not good for you (like they have told us about saturated animal fats for years now).

I'm just curious. I see people using "keto and low carb" sometimes mentioning something that doesn't compute for me. Smokin' Okie had me confused the other day referring to keto and liquor and I was like, "wait, there's no carbs in distilled spirits". Turns out he and the mrs. just found that alcohol makes them harder to lose weight, so its just a personal choice and really doesn't have anything to do with actual keto!:emoji_sunglasses:

It's the seed oils. I am very well versed in organic chemistry. Trust me when I say seed oils are toxic for the human body. Short answer is the high heat from processing because unsaturated fats are highly reactive due to all the double bonds. Nasty side reactions occur and these wreck havoc on the body. Now omega 6 fats from say, nuts and seeds in their natural state- no problem. This is the way we were intended to get them.

Still waiting on your review Rafter H BBQ Rafter H BBQ . Make some egg salad......a sandwich......heck put it on a PopTart with sprinkles.

I've looked all over for it, I'm going to have to make an order from Duke's website. I'm weird with Mayo, I don't like it on burgers or Deli sandwiches, but I do like on BLT's. I also smash an avocado into the mayo for BLT's, and I like to dip my asparagus, and artichokes into mayo. Before Duke's showed up out here on the West Coast, I would add a touch of sugar, and a splash of white wine vinegar to Hellmann's/Bestfoods (they are the same brand, with a diff name) mayo to get it pretty darn close to Duke's.

I'm weird with Mayo,
I was too . When I was younger the only one that ate it was my youngest sister . Damn mayo sandwich , sitting straight across from me at the table . I couldn't stand it . As soon as Mom left the room I smashed her face in the sandwich . Then the belt came off the Norge , but no more mayo sandwich .
I like it now . Mayo on a cold roast pork sandwich with fresh ground black pepper is pretty good .

Pretty much the only mayo I use is when making egg salad and devilled eggs. Never on a sandwich, I use either mustard or thousand island for that.

You can try a grilled cheese with mayo on the bread instead of butter or a blend of both. A blend is better than straight mayo to my taste.

I had an older brother that was also as mean to his 8 year younger brother.
Appears you grew up after having your own children and dealing with their own idiosyncrasies.
I had to do a lot of mind set changes dealing with my own kids.

Growing up, like when I was a little guy, I had a crush on the girl that lived across the street from us. Her dad was Big John Zucca the top fuel dragster ledgend, and the dearest of family friends. I remember Big John eating mayo straight from the jar with a spoon.
(Insert the barf smilies here) It used to gross me out big time, which is most likely why I didn't like mayo as a kid. John used to set me in the dragsters driver seat during warm up while he was tuning it. I remember the mask to protect you from the alcohol fumes, was way too big for my face, and getting hit with the alcohol fumes. I used to love wrapping those engines, when he said hit it hard.
Man, were those great times, something I will most likely never forget.
Big John was HUGE, way too big to drive his dragsters, he is the one standing next to the driver's seat. He was one of the top NHRA groundbreakers, on the West Coast. The Zucca's were like family too us, we did everything together.
John and Betsey are both gone now, and we've lost touch with his two daughters Joanie & Jeneni.
