Updated 4/21/2020. *********MUST SELL******* didn’t want too, but I must now. I am selling a 2015 Pitmaker Vault. I spent $4500 including shipping and bbq guru and Steel Grates. This Vault is located in Medina, OH about 30 minutes south of Cleveland, OH. Color is dark grey and in excellent condition. The pit is well seasoned. We have to make room for our kids extra curricular activities. This Vault comes with the ball valve intake, which is the newer version of intake. I will include the BBQ guru which has been updated last year for a total of $2500. I will upload pictures later today. It has always been stored in my garage or kept under cover as you can see from this cook.

Out of curiosity can you estimate the capacity for butts, briskets, ribs?

Briskets (full packers) 3 maybe 4 per rack. 15-20 fully loaded.

Butts bout 6 per rack. Maaaybe 8-9. 30-40 fully loaded.

St. Louis ribs 4-5 per rack. 20-25 fully loaded. I want to try hanging them from the top rack though. I'm willing to bet you could stuff more in that way.

Burn time is ridiculously long and depends on conditions outside. I’ve had it go as long as 20 hours on less than a full basket. About 2/3s filled. Roughly 20lbs of lump charcoal.

And burn time on a single basket of charcoal @ 250F?

I'll typically load up ~6 lbs of lump (3-4 cooks per 20lb bag) and several chunks of wood. Preheat the chamber with my torch. And it'll run 7-8 hrs at 300° before losing any temp.

How well does it hold temp without the Guru? With and without can it settle in at 250F? I’ve heard they tend to run hot. Very intrigued by the capacity.

You can control it without the guru, but it does tend to draft and climb to roughly 285 over time. That being said, because the smoker is so efficient and well insulated the results are as good or better than lower temps. The moisture retention is superior.

If it's running hot, just add some water to the bottom.

I typically run at 300 and I've had nothing but great results.
