Football Season is upon us.......

Last year my wife and I went to a family get together on a Saturday. On the way home she told me that we would no longer be doing stuff like that on FOOTBALL Saturday. My goodness she is rough. I guess that I will just stay at home and watch football. Poor me.

I saw these two interesting articles on ESPN the other day and loved every minute of it. It talks about the schools that play the most cupcake teams.
Please see the amount of SEC teams in the BCS Cupcakes and the amount of ACC teams in the BCS Toughguys.

Also, they show the 61 BCS teams and how they shape up and only two SEC teams are in the top 30 for harder schedules.

I'm a HUGE Ohio State fan but I'm not stupid. I realize they are not always the best and are sometimes over rated at the start of the year. I can admit they got beat by better teams in the last 2 NT games and it took a little luck to win the 02 game against Miami. Yes there are a lot of OSU fans that will say the Buckeyes are always the best team around and that any game they loose was a fluke, but most fans for most teams are that way and of course I WANT them to be the best but I can look at them for what the REALLY are and bottom line whether they win or loose I'm still a fan. And I dont see any shame in loosing the NT game 2 years in a row, if you get beat by the best team in the country and you played your best thats all anyone can ask for. Cant wait for the USC game this weekend!

I can respect that, beleive me Arkansas is my team win, lose or draw. And I cannot beleive I am gonna say this, but I hope Ohio State destroys USC this weekend

Alot of the schedule is based on financial decisions. Alot of these "cupcakes" beg to get a game against nationally known opponents because their school receives alot of much needed financial compensation for these games. But I wont sit here and argue that Arkansas has a tough non-conference schedule cause it is far from it. And lets not forget that a so called cupcake killed Michigans national title hopes on week 1 last year

The school finally turns things around a little bit and next thing you know their fans are smack talkers. UF fans used to be good at one thing... EXCUSES. They never lost fair and square, it was always a botched call, unfair team, etc. etc. etc.

You all have been playing football for 100 years and have 2 championships. I figure at this rate, 50 years from now, you'll have another one.

And I'm sick of the Tim Teabag hype. He's a good football player but he's not the frickin second coming of Christ like some make it seem. I'm cheering for a torn ACL. If it wasn't for the controversial call against Miami that game could have gone completely different.

In reference to your comment, Chris Rix and Drew Weatherford have definitely been our achilles heel the past 7 years, but hopefully we will see something different with Ponder

This is why I LOVE college football.

gotta love college football .all the optimistic fsu fans out there rooting for a coach who shouldve retired a number of years ago and all just good fun rousing the rivals .just a quick note .in the uf fsu history the record is currently 31-19-2 just a bit of trivia and keep looking at the glass half full noles while the gators glass is running over

I wasn't making any excuses.

I was saying that it was a closer game than the scoreboard showed.

Either Miami has gotten better this year, UF was having an off night, or they're not as good as their ranking.

I think they are off this week and then play UT the following.

I root for two teams every week.
The Noles and whoever is playing UF.
