Okay...was told to come over here and share my Daughter's Senior Design Project. She has graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. They ALL have to do some sort of design project their senior year and build a prototype in order to graduate. The group she was in got tasked by a Vendor to make a Football Shaped grill that is easy to take to tailgates and try to beat the BGE.

This is not made out of Ceramics. Its another new material that is heat proof and is not as fragile as the ceramic materials. The idea for the grill grates is for each grill....to have grates made to look like a Team's football field...and have the Logo of the college in the middle as a brander for the meats.
They have filed for a patent....now this is Auburn that has filed. The kids that worked on it...will have their names included in the patent if it does get to the actual making and selling of these grills.
