I guess I dunno which models have that annoying plastic lip on the top lid...you know..the one that prevents you from using the absolute minimum sized bag, because it sticks out a half inch beyond the general plane of the lid? Catches on the food and won't let the lid close?
Use a sharp pointed knife...BACKWARDS. Yes, just scrape the point of a knife right along the lip/lid joint, peeling little shavings of plastic out. After 15 or so passes, it will pull right off.
