Decided to buy one or the other.Looking for some input with these units.Anyone have either of these ? Never used one but I know I have to make the move to keep my stuff last a bit longer. For the $60.00 bump is it worth it or just go with the V3840 ? Thanks

I've got the 3840 and like it.

Sometimes with something big (like a butt), it doesn't get all the air out that I need it to, so I have to cut another bag.

I have the 2460 and I have had it for about 3 years and not a problem in the world with it. They should be made a requirment if you buy a grill or a smoker.

I have had one of the old models for nearly 8 years and use it regularly with no problems. We found that we make bags that are double the size of what we need then just keep triming them down right at the seal line the bags last a long time - just wash them out and dry them - we also have better luck with big items with a bigger bag - seems to draw the air out better. Not sure if this will work with the newer ones

I dove in.Ordered the V3840. $ 121.38 shipped. Found a coupon at Stoorz 30% off + free shipping ,today Dec. 15 only. B8FC3OA is the # for coupon.

A quick tip about reusing the bags. I was turning them inside out and putting them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Worked OK, except sometimes they didn't get clean in the corners.

Now, I go ahead and cut off the bottom seal too, and turn them inside out. They get 100% clean now.

I take mine and fill them with hot soapy water and work the bags with my hands and it gets them very clean on the inside. Both ways will work
Thanks for the tip
