Did anyone see the news report last night on product contaminants from China? They did a series of products from paints on toys to the materials in the toys themselves. They hit also on equipment in the kitchen and touched on items such as BBQ's. They said many metal products in China are coming from the cheapest steel available and should not be considered food safe as they are often coming from reclaimed steel from cars and buildings that contained lead, asbestos, and/or petroleum products. They said when they remake the steel from that into plate, it's often not food safe but it is not regulated. They did not talk about the levels for the food safe for home and kitchen but when the reporter asked the expert if he would still use those products in his home and he said "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Be careful gents....Buy American!!!!!! Sorry Traeger and Charbroil....you be contaminated!!
