Hi all,

My name is Ryan and am from southeast Iowa. I recently purchased a charbroil gas smoker. I would rather have a Traeger but that was not in the budget. I am also fairly new to the sport of smoking meats and do not have the experience to use wood as a fuel. I am avid in hunting and fishing and look forward to finding ways to prepare game that I harvest. Got a rack of ribs on the smoker as I type this and am excited to see how they turn out. I am fairly confident that like my father I will find a love for this hobby and end up spending more money than I should with it.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Just a teeny bit of information for some of the rules where at SMF...... off site links are not allowed. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
