Hello folks,
In two weeks we're leaving for our third vacation in Florida.
Similar to previous visits, it is a round trip with stops in Miami, Key West, Cape Coral, Orlando & Daytona.
We've seen and experienced quite a bit there by now.
A visit to Smokey Bones is as much a part of our standard itinerary as Buc-ee's.
Also meal at Hog's Breath and a drink at Captain Tony's in Key West are included.

But I'd be particularly interested in tips from locals.
What are your favorite restaurants or interesting places that you have to see but that aren't mentioned in every travel guide?
I also always like to take a local spirit back from my trips for my collection.
Do you have any recommendations?

I would be very happy to receive your input.

The Fish House restaurant in Key Largo. My wife and my favorite restaurant maybe in the world :) We met in Homestead, FL and frequented the North Keys. The Fish House is a must.

I dont travel much, but when I do I find it fun to seek out restaurants featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives.

Not always the absolute best, but fun to do. Guy is VERY generous with his praise of these places. I've been to some that were OK, but not as outstanding "as seen on TV" and others that were very good.
