Hi everyone,

I came across a recipe for this on the Weber website and decided I needed try it…

The peaches I got weren’t in the best shape, but due to a late frost last spring, peaches are a little scarce around here at the moment, so I decided to use them anyway…

First melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add 1 tablespoon of sugar.

Cut the peaches in half and take the pits out. Brush them with the melted butter and sugar.

Grill over medium heat for 10-12 mins, flipping them every 3-4 mins. Brush with butter and sugar whenever you flip.

Once you see black spots appearing they are pretty much done.

Pull them off and add a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream!

Final take, I will do these again, but I will use a closed in grill, either the Traeger or the Weber Kettle, as it would make them softer.

Chillin’ by the fire for the rest of the evening…

As always, thanks for looking!

God bless…

YUM!!!
Mike, I love your live fire set up, I wish I had the space for a fire ring out back. I'm limited to using my weber kettle.

I just did these last night, but I used white nectarines, because they were so sweet. I grilled the pit side first then flipped and added a blob of goat cheese, and drizzled them with a balsamic vinegar glaze. They were delicious, and I scored big time points with the little Princess.

Peaches work a lot better, because it's way easier to remove the pits on peaches. You basically have to cut the pit out of nectarines, which is not fun. I used a curved melon knife, that was in my Noni's restaurant many yrs ago. I love using her old knifes, I have a bunch of them, and I'm still collecting more from family members that are getting older, and don't cook as much as they once did. I'm basically the only one left in the family that enjoys cooking. Although my nephew is really getting into it, which is super cool. His briskets turn out way better than mine, brisket are my nemesis, one will turn out great the next one will suck.
I just don't make them enough to prefect them.

Sorry, my brain went off on a tangent once again. LOL!!!

I didn't even think of taking pictures, my bad!!!

Thank you sir!

We love our backyard, and keep working to improve it…trying to decide if we should put in some pavers around the pit big enough for the chairs to sit on… what do you think?

Also like your idea of using nectarines! I’ll have to try that some time…

GREAT LOOKING SETUP AND SOME FINE WORK THERE! SINCE MOVING TO WEST TEXAS I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY FRESH PEACHES OR PEARS. NOT REAL BIG ON VEGGIES HERE EITHER IT SEEMS, POOR QUALITY AND EXPENSIVE EVEN THO CLOSE TO THE BORDER.
