I fired up the smoker at 2:00 and put on my potatoes, abt, 2 whole chickens and some pig candy. I will put some pictures on later of food.

Matthew

Alright Matthew, will looking for the finish pics. I really need to get around to making that pig candy. I have slimmed up quite a bit since last weekend so bacon covered in sugar should help me not blow away.

Woo Hoo smokinmeat you break in that smoker! Can't wait to see what you got for supper!

Can you take a picture of the pitmaster I don't think I've seen one of those? Pretty please?

The pig candy is really good Chad - I don't know how you could carry it in your back poctet as some suggested it gets sticky but it's surprizingly good!

Good luck on your smoke, smokinmeat. Let us know how it turns out. Mag, you have to try pig candy. It's a must when I fire up, Rhonda sees to that.

I didn't remember it taking this long to smoke chickens on there.

Ya know I've seen some pretty low & slow cooks - but this one takes the cake. Hey smokingmeat Did you ever finish those birds or are they almost done? Where's the pics???

Ah hah, we have chicken pics. Looks good smokinmeat. You better pay attention to what Uncle Shortone teaches ya and not ne making us wait a month again.

What mods do you guys have planned? Look forward to hearing what ya'll do and how it works.

Mag, I thought we would put a deflector in and smokinmeat brought some 3/16 plate along and I thought we would cut some for tuning plates. Hope 3/16 is heavy enough. Guess we'll see when we fire it up and check the temps across the cooking surface.

Sounds good guys, it will most definately benefit from a deflector plate. I had planned on doing that this Spring, but I found myself always going for the BDS or WSM and it just didn't get done.
