So i did my first turkey in my smoker

Turkey was a 13lb butterball

Brined over night with a home made brine

Real light rub

Smoked at 250 for 4hrs with a 50/50 mix of apple and hickory

And then cranked up the heat to 325 for the last 3 hrs to crisp the skin pulled the bird at 165 and let her rest for 45 min before we ate

The only reason i have the turkey and my chicken down is from all the research i do on this site... The next is a brisket... Considered the trophy of smoking right lol.. As soon as i get the needle valve i wanna do some jerky, bacon, amd some salmon too.. I cant help it im addicted

Hello.  I am sorry to tell you this but, There is NO 12 step program for this one.  I can admit I have a problem; I just don't care.
