I injected with Apple juice and captain Morgan did not put a rub on.not bad but I think it need something more so next time I think I will do both.

That is a great idea canning your sauce.  I just did a big batch of homemade salsa.  Do you process them in a water bath?  How long?

i inject all the time , it adds soooo much flavor. there are a million recipes, some with just a few ingrediants others with a dozen. try some till you find the one you like
