Just got my stick burner a few months back and have been learning how she rolls with shorter cooks (chicken, turkey breasts). Tried ribs the other day and was wowed! These are gonna have to be in the rotation! Have a 10 pound pork butt for this weekend, so it’ll be interesting how it goes…

Looks really good from my screen. The butt will be easier. It just takes more beer. Which is a good thing.

Point for sure

My wife added The Salt Lick Spicy BBQ sauce, which gave it a nice little kick...

Couple of fine looking racks there, nice work! RAY

Those look great! Any changes you would doe different on the next set? I cant imagine you would change much based on how those look.

Smoked a 10# pork butt (for tomorrow, in the back of the smoker) and 2 racks of ribs and 3 turkey legs for dinner this evening… went heavier with the

rub today with better results… turkey legs (first time also) came out very good, my grands chowed down on ‘em! Still having issues with my temps… my smoker wants to live at 280-310… can’t get her down to the 250ish temps…

I have no room to talk because I have not figured mine out yet either. lol

I did find if I use thicker splits instead of thinner it runs cooler and more stable. IE 1 thick split every 30 minutes instead of 2 thinner splits. I also close the stack like 1/3. But again i have 3 cooks on this thing(4 if you count the dry run with no food on it.) so have a long long way before im dialed in and happy. lol
