I have never injected any meat but bought an inexpensive injector to add some moisture+flavor to a turkey breast. I want to follow a simple plan - how is this?
I don't have time to buy any special prepared marinades. Mom usually drowns her turkey in gravy anyway :D
- melted butter
- chicken broth
- some of the rub I'm using on the outside
- inject moderately
- let sit overnight
- smoke to 165
