I have cooked and smoked alot of meat in my time but just never got excited about pulled pork until now. Put a 8 lb Pork Shoulder on at 5 am, a slab of ribs around 8am, and 2 beer can chickens on at 1:30. I pulled the shoulder off at 2PM and put in in an ice chest to rest until I pulled the rest of the meat at 4:30. Cook at 250 on this fine lookng UDS rig. All the inspiration came from this amazing forum, the build for the smoke and finally the itch to smoke the  pork shoulder. I built the UDS for my son to take to collage with him. He and his four room mates were there to learn how to cook on the UDS.  It is amazing how this thing cooks. I used Jeffs rub on the shoulder and ribs, and I rubbed the chicken with a little mayo and and freash garlic. The food was crazy good and the boy's are "HOG WILD" over their "HOG TRAUGH". If you are wonderiing about all the "HOG" business, they are off to the University of Arkansas. Good luck to them and good smoking to all of you !

Great looking rig and the food looks awesome too.  Now all that is missing is the money shot of all the food plated up and ready to eat.

If those boys can master the UDS  as well as you do, they will be the most sought after young men on campus besides the athletes.

BTW-I moved this thread from Pork Grilling to Pork-

Butch, Thanks for the help on the move, and I'll put ya pic of the money shot up tonight.

Dave, The wife and I over heard the boy's talking as they were eating ,and sounds like they were already making big plans ! I have just a couple of things to add to finish the paint job,. I will post a pic after they are finished.

SmokinHusker, That one of mine better get a bunch of the book work in, or the OLD MAN will be doing some schooling, and not on the smoker. We are pretty blessed with a good son, I just pray he sticks to his roots and we shouldn't have much to worry about.

Thanks and you folks have a great day.
