This seems like a stupid question, and I think the answer is "no" but do I have to mop or spritz a fatty?

Not really needed, unless you smoked it for a long period of time to the point that it might dry out.

You don't have to spritz or mop anything.........all personal preference. I don't do it for a fatty (or much anything else for that matter).

Not much help, I know...........but I would not bother unless you are looking to add a little flavor.

This may just a regional thing but if you have never tried pig snoots you aint "Qued" yet. If you like pork skins, you'll love snoots.
