First Cook On The New To Me RT1250!!

Hey all and good morning! A bit ago my friend @civilsmoker reached out to me asking if I’d have any interest in the RT1250 and/or The Copper Pot. Well, long story short we made a deal and I acquired a couple new to me smokers. And a thank you to civil who was kind enough to meet half way and make the swap.

I’ll take some more pics, but here they are after arriving home.

So, plugged the RT in after priming the pellet pot… and fired right up. Also, a thanks to civil who was kind enough to leave about 30 lbs of pellets in the hopper.

So, decided on some bison steaks… one sirloin and one ribeye.

And also tossed on some mahi mahi. My better half requested just some S&P.

Pete and I wanted to jazz ours up a bit.

I was chatting with my friend @clifish the other day and he mentioned some fresh dill. Thank you for the suggestion Cliff… took this fish next level flavor wise.

Also, Trysten wasn’t home last night… so with us loving some shrooms… we try to have them when she isn’t home due to she’s allergic and can’t be around them.

Also, the better half picked up a pre marinated Burgundy Black Peppercorn Tri Tip in the bargain bin… Figured we’d toss that on for some Labor Day snacking and some sammie meat.

Thanks all, been out and about getting ready for hunting season. I do appreciate all the replies and the honor of the spinner ride… didn’t see that coming… probably due to the RT was civils and his threads always end up there!

I will reply to each here in a bit…

I can assure one thing… The Copper Pot will be well taken care of and the name will remain! I am beyond honored that civil reached out and now the proud owner of such a beautiful and well thought out piece of work.

I just hope to do it justice as the builder and original owner done.

I will humbly try my best!

Nice job--on everything! That's an impressive assortment of food.

It's also kinda cool that right now, three consecutive cooks up on the spinner were done by three different Idaho cooks. Way to represent, Gem State!
