I decided while I was in town today I was going to buy a brisket flat to put on the smoker tomorrow for the first time. All they had were 2lb pieces of the flat for almost $15 PER POUND!! I know beef is high right now but is that normal price? If so I do believe I will stick with pork.

Holy crap!

At HEB:
$3/lb untrimmed
$5-$7/lb trimmed
$6/lb flat

It looks like there is a lot of pig in trouble if that's the prices I have to deal with haha.

Wish I could find that! I'd definitely try it at those prices! But....no way in hell for the price I have seen.
