Well chile, That is one great picture , it looks like quite a rush. I dont know if i could do that at all.
I would not only say No Sh!t , i would have to change my skivvies once i landed. As long as that is how i made it down
Hope your injury was not a real bad one.
I think that jumping is very cool, just dont know if i could.

David
It was a case of "Hey y'all, watch this!" I was having fun and showing off swooping aka turf surfing.
Done right it's a lot of fun and looks cool to spectators, done wrong you're lucky you're only injured.

Spiral fracture of the right tib/fib, fairly nasty.
Took two (2) plates and fourteen (14) screws and some cadaver bone meal to patch it together. Took four months to get on my feet and back to work, took a year for full recovery.

Oh my god, that is some nasty looking injuries . And this is where someone says , well it could have been worse.
And that is why i don't think..... sorry know that i could not do that.
Glad you are here to talk about it. And of coarse you kept jumping after that ?

A good friend of mine is in the Navy and did a lot of jumping. Than he stopped , he earned the nick name " Lawn Dart " from his buddies on his last jump. Broke both ankles
and back injuries. Still in Navy , but no more jumping.
Land is very unforgiving when jumping from high places and your chute " f's " up.

Glad you are here to talk about it. And of coarse you kept jumping after that ?

Yes sir David, damned straight I went back to jumping.
To stop jumping would have been on par with stopping having sex.

The trucking company I worked for was based out of Tulsa Oklahoma I went up there to pick up a truck, A friend of mine owned and operated Skydive Tulsa, I stopped in and made my first jump after the injury.
Since I was still limping a good bit, I slid in on my butt, better safe than sorry.

The apprehension of having sustained an injury and possibility of re-injuring it,
Made for quite a bit of adrenaline, it was almost as intense as my first jump.

Yeah the injury was pretty serious.
My orthopedic surgeon says he debated amputation before deciding he could save it.
There's not much soft tissue around the bones in that area as is, and most of it was severely damaged.
I had one instance of some the tissue dying off and necrotizing, I ain't going to show pictures of that.
I also experienced some minor permanent loss of function, nerve damage and pain.
