First attempt at smoked chili

Beautiful fall Friday here in NW Georgia. I figure let’s fire up the smoker and try something new. I put the meat and my veggies on the smoker first. When they were done I assembled everything and put it back on the smoker, going to let it ride for 1-2 hours and see what I get lol.

Careful,it isn't hard to over smoke it.....

thanks, I’m using maple wood so hopefully it won’t be to bad. Fixing to take it off the smoker.

Just tried a bit of it and hands down, best chili I ever ate. Has just the right kiss of smoke. The maple wood added a sweetness to the meat and the onions and peppers were like butter. I will post a better pic later when we dish it out for dinner.

I've got Brats smoking right now with apple at a steady 230* went on at 3:30 dinner at 7-7:30 !
Absolutely beautiful here in the Blue Ridge today 65* after frost last night
