Well, I've been wanting a trailer rig for awhile so finally decided to give it a go. It's also my first atttempt at a smoker build. I had my buddy at the machine shop get me started since I don't have the good equipment at home to cut and weld the heavy stuff. Tonight I got to bring it home so I can put my personal touches on it...racks, shelves maybe a propane burner for the long smokes.

Planning on having the new smoker, a refabbed Smoke Hollow charcoal wagon, counter/storage with sink and mini fridge. Will also have a stainless prep table and a deep fryer. My wife is short, so she wanted it set up to use while standing on the trailer so that's what we'll do.

Here's some late night spy pics of the Sweaty Pig Rig. Better pics to come as I get time to work on it.

Ok, quick question....the pipe we used was not new, so the inside has some rust on it. I took the grinder and wire brush to it tonight and took off the big stuff. Do I need to keep at it until it shines or just spray it down and season it?

Since it was so nice out today I decided to finish up some little things on the new rig. Got the air vents in and a wood rack in the fb built. Then it was time to fire it up. It held at 250 easily with not much babysitting. After a few hoursnof that, I cranked it to 500 for a couple hours.

Once it settles in, it seems to have a difference of only about 5 degrees from end to end. Can't wait to get some q on this thing.

Of course I had the other smoker going with a fatty and some ribs for the guys that helped with the build..
