Since I will be doing a spatchcocked turkey Monday, thought I should make sure it still works.
What better way to test than with a couple NY steaks.
If I used the LPG grill or used the LSG in manual mode, could get more heat t, but I am not feeling all that good and a bit lazy.
LPG grill is wrapped up for winter and manual mode involves removing grate, removing the foil on drip pan and open the drip pan for direct flame.
Can't get typical grill marks with these grates anyway.
Cooked at 450f (15 min, flip, 10 min.) to an IT of about 150.
Wife not a fan of much pink or red inside.
Sautéed onions and 'shrooms on top with some asparagus on the side.
Tasty lunch.
Pic is what the SS grates look like. No grill marks with these.
