Fire box for a 500gal tank

How large should i make the fire box on my 500gal i am going to make it square. So how many ft or inches should she be?  Can i have one two small?  Can i have one teo large? thanks for your imput

The size of the intake between the fire box and the cooking chamber matters more than the size of the firebox it self.
